An \u2013 to this point \u2013 unknown city for me was waiting to be visually explored.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Workflow<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">In preparation for the trip I went through several (photography and travel) blogs in search for some cool photo spots that I could visit. The most interesting ones (judged from afar) made it into the map below. It was my first trip to London that\u2019s why the obvious touristic places are included as well.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/umap.openstreetmap.fr\/de\/map\/london-photo-spots_91270?scaleControl=false&amp;miniMap=false&amp;scrollWheelZoom=false&amp;zoomControl=true&amp;allowEdit=false&amp;moreControl=true&amp;searchControl=null&amp;tilelayersControl=null&amp;embedControl=null&amp;datalayersControl=true&amp;onLoadPanel=undefined&amp;captionBar=false&amp;datalayers=215625\" width=\"100%\" height=\"400px\" frameborder=\"0\"><span style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/umap.openstreetmap.fr\/de\/map\/london-photo-spots_91270\">Vollbildanzeige<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After creating the map on <a href=\"http:\/\/umap.openstreetmap.fr\/de\">uMap<\/a> I imported the KML data into <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.me\/de\/home\">Maps.me<\/a> on the iPhone. Maps.me has offline maps, which is nice if you don\u2019t want to use roaming data. Unfortunately it has (or at least had) no support for lines, only markers. Else I would have drawn some photo walks onto the map.<\/p>\n<p>In London I could use this map to plan the day trips or check if a spot is near me.
